Retainers are breakable, so treat them with care:
- Clean clear retainers thoroughly once a day with a toothbrush and liquid soap. Use warm but not hot water. Brushing retainers removes the plaque, and eliminates odors.
- When retainers are not in your mouth they should ALWAYS be in a retainer case.
- Keep retainers away from hot water, hot car dashboards, pockets, the washing machine, and napkins.
- Keep retainers away from pets!

Abdoney Orthodontics is amazing. I transferred from a Smile office in Navarre to here in Wesley Chapel and even though they are 3 hours from where I live, they have accommodated me from the moment I needed to transfer. Getting braces at 50+ wasn’t exactly on my bucket list, but Dr. John and his amazing staff turned something I was dreading into something I actually looked forward to. He has a way of blending skill with humor that instantly calms your nerves. His team is just as caring and professional, they treat you like family every visit. If you’re an adult considering braces, don’t hesitate. This is the place.
I was extremely pleases with the orthodontic care that both of my children received from Abdoney Orthodontics. Their attention to detail, ease of contact and Scheduling, and caring staff and Drs made these past couple years very enjoyable. Their team makes you feel more than just a patient or a chart. Everything is very transparent so you know what you are being billed and charged and if you have any questions they take the time to explain anything to you. This is not only a top-notch orthodontic practice, but a very well run company that feels like a small town business. I have one more child that will need braces and we will surely come back.
Absolutely love Abdoney orthodontics. My daughter is in her second set of braces with them and my son just finished Invisalign. Would highly recommend to anyone, such sweet staff and very caring dr that take their time to get the smile right.
