The Tampa Bay Riverwalk is a 2.6 mile long walk way that begins just north of downtown Tampa, Florida and culminates at the site of the history Museum. This beautiful riverwalk stretches alongside the Hillsborough River. The riverwalk is the site of many activities including dining, museums, festivals, water activities, and strolling. If you like biking, you can rent a bike at one of the many coast’s bike share kiosks, at approximately $15 hourly. If you are not as active, you can get a ride on the Magic Carpet Glide Segway Tour. You can also catch a ride on the Downtowner which is a free low speed vehicle that you can request for free from an app. The riverwalk connects you to a variety of places where you can have a family fun day, or an exciting night out with friends.
It is really simple to discover what is happening at the riverwalk. You can check the Downtown Tampa Events calendar for events. Most events occur at the Curtis Hixon Park. There is no need to wait for an event to have an awesome experience at the Riverwalk. You can catch an eBoat for sightseeing or transportation. The eBoat is available until 10 pm. A boating license is not required to drive, so you can drive yourself or you can hire a driver. You can even order a ride from Pirate Water Taxi. It is a beautiful ride which makes stops for shopping on Harbor Island or Davis Island. Another option is to take a ride on a biyak from Tampa Bay Waterbike Co. The biyak is not available after 6 pm.
Riverwalk Dining Experience
There are so many options for you to have an awesome dining experience. Just decide whether you want ice cream, pizza, barbecue, or alcoholic beverages. For ice cream, you can grab a cone from Astros Ice Cream Co. You can experience Astros Ice Cream being made while you wait. You can grab a slice of pizza at Ava’s or Corners Pizza. Maybe you have a taste for barbecue, so you can check out Butcher n’BBQ and have a made-to-order sandwich with mouth-watering brisket or pulled pork.
