If this is your first time with an orthodontist, don’t worry! We’ll take you through everything with our complimentary consultation!

When scheduling your consultation, here are a few things new patients should keep in mind.

Let us know about any special needs.

If you’re going to need anything, whether it’s wheelchair access or translators if English isn’t your first language, make sure you let us know ahead of time.

We’re willing to work with you on whatever you need, but we can’t do that if we don’t know what your needs are! So make sure you tell us on the phone, in advance, so that we can prepare accordingly.

Our consultations for new patients will involve an oral exam, x-rays, and discussion of your own personalized treatment plan! So keep those things in mind when considering anything you might need from us.

We want your consultation to go as smoothly as possible. Let us make that possible by letting us know exactly what you need, before you need it.

Have your questions prepared ahead of time.

Whether this is your first time going to an orthodontist or not, you’ll probably have a lot of questions for us.

We’re more than happy to answer those questions, but it’s better for you to write them down ahead of time. We’re going to be talking with you a lot, trying to get your treatment plan together.

There’s a chance that you might forget your questions once you’re getting all that new information. It’s made even worse because you might be feeling overwhelmed or even stressed.

If you write your questions down, you’ll be sure to remember them. And we’ll be able to give you all the information that you want, when you want it.

If you want us to give you the best care possible, we’ll need to know what we’re working with.

That’s why we like new patients to fill out this form, specifi c to our Riverview location, before your first appointment. Although it is rather involving, it helps us give you the best care possible.

While it gives us important information, like your medical history and any pre-existing dental conditions, it also gives us information such as what you’d like to be called, and what your hobbies are.

All of this will help us make you comfortable, and give you the best care possible. That way, you’ll be on your way to a brighter, healthier smile in no time.
